I love offensive and technical teams. So eventhough Italy has great players, I would never vote for them. Almost all of their games are boring. Luckily this year only few defensive teams are in. I am looking forward to it!
What do the bookies say: Absolute favorite is Germany, but almost equal are France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. But if you really want to gamble, go for Austria, if they win it's a 120* return! Edit: Added bookies -------------------- ,...¤´¨)

In normal circumstances I would vote for France. However, its performance in Toulouse against Paraguay has been so modest (0-0) that I have to choose Italy as most probable winner. I do not agree with HAL. I think the Italians can play a very attractive football if they want!

I do not agree with HAL. I think the Italians can play a very attractive football if they want! That's the problem, they never want to. Well, their coach never wants to. Can't blame them, because they are the best in that tactic. But for the neutral spectator it's mostly boring. It's a pitty England isn't in, their matches are often very attractive. France is one of my favorites, can't wait to see Ribery play. Although I heard he is injured. -------------------- ,...¤´¨)

Hi HAL2000, Great match of the Germans. Portugal had no answer to the solid defense and quality forwards of Germans. This match proved that Portugal was probably overrated, good forwards, but mostly einzelgangers.
Germany is now a favorite for the final (as always). I hope Spain, Holland and Croatia will go to the next round. I'm to afraid for the Italians :-) -------------------- ,...¤´¨)
