Hi People,
I am on the look out for fast and easy to use DVD ripping software, which can provide good speed with decent quality. I am having a storage problem in my system as I have many things to keep update and there are DVD format movies which are large files which use a lot of space in hard drive. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Not sure that I follow you. If they are on your hard drive, aren't they already ripped?

You probably mean you require a converter to change TS_VIDEO and sound folders in to something like a .avi file of about 700MB instead of the 3GB?

What operating system do you use?

I think that you should have already got a bunch to choose from as there are many available and coming all the way through. I use Avex DVD Ripper which makes ripping of DVD files easy for me and takes hardly any time. The quality is good and no loop holes ….I guess!!!!

Hope this would help you.

DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter work well with Windows. Check out Handbrake, Popcorn or Toaster if you have an Apple.

In addition there are plenty of applications that will convert DVD's to MP4 format - these will play on MP4 players (such as video iPods) and on pretty much any computer. Also reduces the DVD image to about 10% of its original size, so easier to store on your computer. ImTOO is a good one, though it's not free. You can also find fairly cheap ones on sale at computer stores, MediaMarkt, etc.

I don't know if I was put on this earth for a purpose, but I'm sure I'll be taken off it for one.

Spam spam spam spam spam spammity spam...

good info from the real people who've posted in this message. I use a program called Ripit4Me but it requires dvdDecryptor which is no longer available due to xxAA issues.

winavi is what you want in this instance, it will take an iso and turn it into an avi (xvid/divx) file and compress it accordingly.

Also does it the other way around!
