Hi there,

Are there any beginner kiteboarders (or persons with an intention to begin kiteboarding) in the Den Haag area interested in meeting up to go kiteboarding together from June onwards? I plan to ride my kite around Scheveningen or Kijkduin.

Oh I am very interested. I use to wind surf all the time but haven't had time. Can you get me more info on it. That would be well worth the drive down there. Ijust moved in a week ago from the states.

I have a Friend coming over with his family from July 11 to 18th. He is an experienced kite surfer.
We used to go windsurfing together years ago. I'm planing to train on my own with his help. I Did 2 weeks with a friend last summer and enjoyed it. Would be nice to have another beginner comming along. Do you have your own equipment? My friend will bring a second set for me. wouldn't mind to share.
My friend will stay the week in Kijkduinpark. How did the kite course go - was it worse it and how much did you pay?

Does anyone know a palce to rent gear. I figured that would be good at first then buy the equipment. Also are there any 2-3 day courses around (I am in Amsterdam area) but would be willing to travel a little.

Hi there,

I'm well up for it!

Just relocation to the Hague 2 weeks ago. Been wanting to get out there again - been looking for a kite bud or 2.
I've got my IKO 1+2 where I started on the south Coast of the UK around Brighton, I'm still a beginner as i need to progress with my boardriding up to IKO 3.

I've got the full kit but only got a Naish 9 Meter kite which is good range of wind.

I've had a chat to a few kiters down at scheveningen but they don't like learners there. To much surf to learners - plus there's no kite school. The best place to learn is near rotterdam - at oovstvoornse - check out kite beachs: -

http://www.kitebeaches.com/region/state_zuid_holland.html

should meet up for a chat and maybe a drink

The course I found offer a 3 half-days course for 370 EUR ( in private lessons ).
Since I am french and quite small, they advised me to follow a more personalize traning.
