Hi,
I am looking for a place to rent in Brussels and would like to know more about the safety of different zones. In particular, I would like to know more about Ixelles (near the Uniersity and also near the Porte de Namur underground station), St Gilles, Louise and Schaerbeek. If you could give some pointers with respect to this, I would be thankful |

Thanks macklamm.
I currently live in Glasgow so as long as I can go outside after 8pm without being harassed by gangs of feral children and teens, then it's a good area in my book. |

Can't give you a detailed advice, just that anything near the EU quarters is good living.
Aside of that I found it important to be near the metro as i do not want to have a car. I found the metro very safe, but I can imagine there are stops where it's not pleasant. -------------------- ,...¤´¨)
