Hi = I'm approaching the big 4-0 and want to go to Palermo and welcome in the new decade down there gorging on Italian food and wine ;-)
Does anyone know any budget/cheapo airlines (ala easyjet) that go down there by any chance?? KLM was 400 a ticket :-/ |

Transavia flies directly from AMS, but they tend to be fully booked on their flights to Palermo well in advance (I have several Italian collegues that regularly complain about it)
Jetair (which is actually Thomas Cook) flies from Brussels to Palermo for a reasonable fee: http://www.jetairfly.com/ SN Airlines flies to Catania from Brussels as well (currently they have a promotion for 50 euros one way) http://www.brusselsairlines.com Good luck in your search! |

If you don't mind spending time to save money, RyanAir has CHEAP tickets from Bremen to Trapani, on the order of 20 euros. Flights are on Sundays and Wednesdays only, though.
If you don't want to drive your own car and park at Bremen, you can catch a Publicexpress bus from Groningen CS for 25 euros with a return Have a great birthday! |

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately due to work, I have very little time to work with, so had to give up on Palermo and book to Venice instead - I guess that's a "luxe problem"....
Transavia doesn't start their Palermo route (or there was nothing available) til end of April :-( |
