I was hoping to hear from anyone who lives outside of Brussels in either Bruge or Antwerp. My husband is being transferred to Brussels for work and he will be based in the city centre. We were thinking about living in either Antwerp or Bruge and him commuiting each day. Not sure if it would be too far though. We only speak english (although i hope to learn French) and i will be staying home with our baby, so would like to be near other families, shops, parks, transport.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Unfortunately, learning French won't do you any good if you live in Brugge or Antwerpen.

Check out BrusselsVillas.com for some nice rental properties in between Antwerp and Brussels... Could be the perfect location for you.

Most Belgians speak fair English, since high numbers of expats live in Brussels and Antwerp.
